NUC visits Jim Ovia’s James Hope Business School ahead January start 

James Hope Business School has hosted a delegation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on a resource verification exercise, in preparation for the kick off of the university’s Executive Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme in January 2024.

The Vice Chancellor, James Hope University, Prof. Paul Vita, along with the Registrar, Dr. Uzoma Achugamonu and the Dean, James Hope Business School, Prof. Olu Akinkugbe, welcomed the three-women delegation of Dr. Esther Mmeka, Professor Uduak Mbong, and Jolaoso Motunrayo.

Vita, who thanked the NUC for setting a standard, assured of James Hope Business School’s commitment to upholding the NUC standards.

The team lead of the NUC’s delegation, Mmeka shared the views and expectations of the NUC. She emphasised that the purpose of their visit was to foster a formidable relationship between the NUC and James Hope Business School, and to give suggestions on ways the business school can improve the quality of its resources and programmes.

She applauded the management of James Hope Business School for their hospitality, warm reception and readiness towards the exercise.

The NUC team were given a tour of the campus, reviewing the business school’s classrooms, faculty offices, library, proposed innovation hub and entrepreneurial centre with the director’s office.
